With the acquisition of Mellegård & Naij last year Hydria Invest holds two well-known companies with products in wastewater treatment. To further sharpen the competitive advantages and exploit each other’s contacts and networks Hydria Water was formed in late 2015.

For the sales team, this is a fantastic expansion that will give new opportunities. Numerous client meetings, marketing campaigns and VA fair at Elmia, Sweden in September are some of the happenings this year, says Tor-Bjorn Danielsson, CEO of Hydria Invest.
The sales team is placed in VA Teknik Sweden’s facilities together with the new employee’s financial manager Petra Östergren.

VA Teknik has finalized the installation of a new Rotating sludge scraper to Stora Enso papermill.

“It´s a huge challenge in these projects with the papermills, they have a short period when they stop the 24/7 operations for a week long maintenance break. During that week there is a huge amount of work that needs to be done. As example at this mill they have around 700 employees and during the break there are a thousand contractors coming in to do all the repair, maintenance and exchange of equipment to ensure safe operation when the startup is due. The planning and the project management need to be top of the line to ensure the safety during this intense period.”

The municipality of Norrtälje came together with the operator Veolia Water to VA Teknik when they refurbished the Trickling Filter and changed the media from the old fashioned rock solution to modern plastic media at Hallstavik WWTP.
VA Teknik supported the consultant during the entire feasability study and final design of the refurbishment of Hallstavik WWTP trickling filter, Sales Manager Marko Kunerus explains “We provide a wide range of solutions with all necessary applications for all kind of trickling filters, in this particular case we had a quite varying flow to consider and some challenges with the structural design which we needed to address. The project fell out great and the performance is actually better than both we and our client expected”
