Orders from China and Dubai

Packing and preparations are currently ongoing for an order of 10 scrapers and four pipes that are to be shipped in cargo containers to the Harmony Creek Water Pollution Control Plant in Canada. The total order value is 3.5 million SEK and the client, NEXOM, is new to Hydria Water; the business deal has taken the form of a direct delivery to the contractor rather than to their reseller in Canada, as is normally the case. At the same time, two large distributors for trickling filters with a diameter of 32 metres are to be shipped to the Al-Aweer Sewage Treatment Plant in Dubai to join one that was sent last year. The total value of the order is 3 million SEK, and the client, Enexio, has been one of Hydria Water’s clients for several years.

Hydria Water modernises Kiev’s largest pump station

Kiev’s largest pumping station for wastewater, Obolon, which was recently modernised and to which Hydria Water supplied several products, was recently re-opened. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Kiev mayor’s office, the Swedish embassy, and several journalists from newspapers and television networks.

The project to reconstruct Obolon pump station had a total cost of roughly 44 million UAH, and was carried out within the framework of an extensive modernisation programme of the Ukrainian capital. The new equipment will, among other things, facilitate considerable energy savings for the station.

– We have already cut energy consumption by 20 percent, and intend to further improve on this, Yuri Romanko, the assistant director of sewage pumping stations, told ABC News.

The project has been carried out by Hydria Water’s reseller AWP Nordic in Kiev.

VA Teknik Sweden expands

Martin_VAT

VA Teknik Sweden has had a record high autumn and recruited both a new design engineer, two new recruits to the workshop and a production technician, while still had to use temporary personnel and work overtime to keep up with the market.

-As our order intake has increased we have also accelerated during and after the summer. There are many aspects that come into play, like the sales work within Hydria Water, but a large part is also our project manager Jens Lingman that could relieve sellers with several tasks, which means that they have more time to sales meetings and client visits, explains Martin Jingnäs, CEO of VA Teknik Sweden.

In the autumn, VA Teknik Sweden have invested in several new welding machines to our workshop and made an internal relocation in our warehouse to free production area to be doubled in size.

The Treatment Plant of the future is situated in Denmark

A unique treatment plant is right now being built in Denmark, just outside Copenhagen in Hillerød Forsynings future energy, climate and environment park. Solrødgård treatment plant is based on innovative solutions and the latest technology, and will also be part of a recreation area and become a training center both for the public and for students. The treatment plant is expected to be operational by summer 2017, and Mellegård & Naij has delivered two Center Screens, two Wash Presses, two Shredders, two Gritwashers and an External Sludge Receiver in the autumn for a total value of 1.8 million Swedish kronor.

-It is an important reference for us. Danish architects often put a lot more effort into projects, even when they are designing treatment plants. It’s starting to change in Sweden, even though we have not progressed as far, says Stefan Naij on Mellegård & Naij.

The first order went from Skövde in mid-November, and the last at the end of the month.

-We have been working on the order for about a year, it is a very interesting project for us which will hopefully also become a display object even for us, says Mattias Ahlstrand, production coordinator of Mellegård & Naij who was responsible for the project, and continues:

-It’s a demanding customer – and we are happy for it. It makes us keep an even higher level, and it raises the standard of the entire operation.

New significant contract for equipment to Borås municipality

Hydria Water are happy and proud of closing the order for equipment to new built Sobacken Waste Water Treatment Plant. During first half of 2017 we will deliver equipment from VA Teknik Sweden valued to approximately 10 million Swedish kronor.
-It is the biggest equipment contract since we became VA Teknik Sweden, and it feels fantastic to get this trust from Veolia Water Technologies to deliver to their project at Sobacken says MD Martin Jingnäs.

VA Teknik Sweden products will be installed in several parts of the plant, to mention some of it there will be plastic chain & flight scrapers in the aerated grit trap for sand and grit removal as well as in all clarifiers along with scum pipes for surface scum removal and outlet weirs that collect the treated water. Beside the mentioned there will also be machinery for the Actiflo process which is a treatment process invented by Veolia Water Technologies. The installations will start during first half of 2017 whilst trial run of the plant is planned for 2018.
-Geographically this is an important project for us since we have our factory and showroom nearby and we can bring customers to a new built and modern plant to show what we can offer, says Marko Kunerus Sales & Business Development Manager at Hydria Water.

Sobacken will have a state of the art treatment plant, a high efficiency power heating plant and a modern biogas plant producing fuel of the sludge. The total cost for the project is 3,2 billion Swedish kronor. Hydria Water is the sales company of trademarks VA Teknik Sweden and Mellegård & Naij with factories in Borås respectively in Skövde.
